Battery Washes

Weldex Battery Washes are an effective, convenient way to detect and neutralize acid. Use these washes to clean and protect your battery and other surfaces that may come in contact with electrolyte. You’ll find a version to fill every need, packaged in easy-to-use quart sprayers or in bulk packaging from 5 gallon pails to 35 gallon drums. Always use proper PPE when working on or near batteries and cleaning chemicals.

BATTERY WASH WITHOUT DETERGENT:

Battery Wash Without Detergent is perfect for light applications where you heavy dirt or grease build up is present. The product will detect and neutralize acid. Spray cleaner onto battery or area to be cleaned if acid is present, and the cleaner will change to a red / deep pink color. Next, scrub with a non-metal pad or brush. Continue to spray and wipe until clean (when the product no longer changes color and the acid has been neutralized).

BATTERY WASH WITH DETERGENT:

Battery Wash With Detergent, neutralizer and color change is for heavy applications. This product will break down the build up when used as above. The cleaning process is the same.

STATIONARY BATTERY WASH:

Stationery Battery Wash is a specially blended wash that is safe for use on stationary batteries. Use in the same manner as the other cleaners, being sure to wipe the cells dry after cleaning to prevent any build up on cell tops. Note there is no color change in this product as color change is not recommended for use on stationary batteries.

BATTERY NEUTRALIZER CLEAR:

Battery Neutralizer Clear does not contain any detergent or color change chemicals. This product is great for adding to any wash water that needs to be neutralized for disposal or in a battery washing station. When using this product, the pH will need to be tested for neutralization. Dilute 8:1 if using directly on batteries because this product is highly concentrated.
