Acid Containment Solutions for Standby Power

Weldex Acid Containment Systems are flame retardant and absorb and neutralize battery electrolyte.

ANGLES, CORNERS, AND OVER CLIPS:

1/4 inch thick grey PVC plastic and 4 inches tall as required in the National Fire Code. All PVC components have a LOI flame rating of 28 or higher, which meets the requirements of UL standard 2436.

UL RECOGNIZED PILLOWS:

Weldex UL Recognized Pillows neutralize and absorb electrolyte, and will indicate contact with acide by changing from bright yellow to red. The 1/16 thick material is tear and puncture resistant. The safety yellow color makes the containment highly visible, as well as giving early alert to acid spill by changing color. Pillows come in two sizes: 12″ x 12″ and 6″ x 24″. Each standard pillow contains approximately 2.5 lbs of neutralizer / absorber. Absorption rate is 1 gallon per unit, and neutralization at 3 quarts per unit with specific gravity of 1.210 t0 1.260.

UL RECOGNIZED LINER:

Weldex UL Recognized Liner is a black, flexible material that has a NFPA class 1 flammability rating and LOI of 28 or higher. This material is an 18 ounce coated fabric, which provides strength and ease of installation for proper fitting of corners during set up.
